ABOUT

Healing Phoenix Arts is a nonprofit founded by Christopher and Holly Gage, born from their lived experience as burn survivors and trauma-informed facilitators. After surviving a food truck explosion in 2018, Christopher used lapidary as part of his physical recovery, which led the couple to develop the Warrior Scar Jewelry workshops—combining art, storytelling, and Post Traumatic Growth to support healing for other burn and trauma survivors.

I originally built their website over seven years ago when the focus centered on lapidary and a small shop to sell the resulting cabochons. As the organization evolved into a nonprofit, the site required a strategic refocus, shifting away from e-commerce and toward mission-driven storytelling, education, and impact. I overhauled the entire site to reflect a nonprofit identity, clearly communicate workshop offerings, sponsorship opportunities, and survivor support, and integrate donation pathways while enriching the content across all aspects of their programs.
